ScenEx is a project for young people in Tårnby, where they get introduced to physical theater, as well as aerial and floor acrobatics. During the project they get introduced to creation process and end up creating their own performance.

The first edition of the project ran from the 22nd February until the 10th April.

School workshops

Throughout the first 4 weeks, all the schools in the Tårnby borough had workshops of varying lengths (and for various amounts of classes). Most of them for 2 full days.

Afternoon classes

In collaboration with Tårnby Ungdomsskole and Tårnby Klubberne, GLiMT had arranged 4 afternoon classes during 6 weeks in physical theater, aerial acrobatics and dance.

Also music

During 2 weekends, GLiMT had in collaboration with Tårnby Musicschool, arranged a workshop in ”how to create music for performances” with one of GLiMT´s regular composers.

This group would visit the other classes and interact with them before the last weekend.

Performance

In the last weekend of the project, all the participants come together to create a performance with all the skills learned.

The teachers in the project were all professional acrobats and performers (and one composer) related to GLiMT.
